Get ready, food lovers! The Caribbean Grill Festival is back in Puerto Morelos this weekend, and it is shaping up to be the biggest edition yet. On Saturday and Sunday, the Ventana al Mar and Parque Fundadores will fill with the smell of smoke, sizzling food and good music.

This is the fifth year for the Festival Parrillero del Caribe, and it has become a favorite event for locals and visitors who love great food and a lively community atmosphere by the sea.

A Big Weekend by the Water

The festival runs from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on both Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25. The waterfront setting gives the event its special Puerto Morelos feeling: the Caribbean breeze, plenty of people out enjoying town, and a full weekend built around the grill.

This year, 22 grill specialists from Puerto Morelos, across Mexico and Spain will be part of the celebration. They will be joined by food, drink and experience vendors, bringing the total to 40 stands. Expect grilled meats, fish and seafood, plus beverages, coffee, desserts and sweet treats for when you need a break from the smoke and spice.

More Than Just Great Food

The festival is not only about ordering something delicious and wandering from stand to stand. There will be 18 culinary experiences over the two days, including grill classes, masterclasses and tastings of wine, craft beer and chocolate.

Some of the hands-on classes and tastings have limited space and require a separate reservation, so it is worth checking the official festival ticket page before you go. Whether you are a serious home griller or simply curious about what happens behind the flames, there should be something fun to discover.

Local artisans and entrepreneurs will also be part of the event, giving everyone another reason to take their time and explore the whole festival.

Music to Keep the Energy Going

Live music will run throughout the weekend, with DJs, local talent, bands and visiting artists sharing the stage. The official lineup includes 18 musical performances over the two days.

Saturday night has a special highlight. Daniel Gutiérrez, the vocalist of Mexican rock band La Gusana Ciega, will bring his Storyteller show to the festival stage at 7:00 p.m. It promises to be an intimate set of music and stories behind the songs, all under the stars with the sea nearby and the grills still going.

A Festival That Gives Back

The Festival Parrillero del Caribe is also supporting a good cause. For the second year in a row, part of the ticket income will be donated to DIF Quintana Roo, helping support programs for families and communities in the state.
