Making Reservations: A Crucial Step

Given the popularity of Puerto Morelos during the holiday season, reservations are highly recommended for all ticketed dinner and show events. Based on common practices in the area, you can secure your spot through several methods:

Direct Contact: Many restaurants, especially smaller local establishments, prefer reservations made in person or via phone.

Digital Messaging: WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger are widely used for booking. Look for a WhatsApp number on the restaurant's social media pages.

Online Booking: Larger venues like La Sirena often use their website for direct online reservations.

It is advisable to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment, as many venues sell out well in advance of New Year's Eve.

Mexican New Year's Tradition

Regardless of where you choose to celebrate, you will likely encounter the quintessential Mexican New Year's tradition: the Twelve Grapes.

As the clock strikes midnight, it is customary to eat one grape for each of the twelve chimes, with each grape representing good luck for a month of the coming year.

Many of the dinner packages, such as those at El Pirata and El Huerto del Puerto, specifically include the grapes to ensure guests can participate in this tradition.
