Puerto Morelos is buzzing with creativity this week, as two talented young artists showcase their unique visions at our very own Cultural Center and Museum.

 

This is a wonderful chance to see some fresh art right here in our community.

 

A Celebration of Local Talent

 

The exhibitions, titled "The Tenure of Time" and "The Illusion of Time," officially opened with a special ceremony.

 

Raúl Guadarrama García, our Secretary of Sustainable Tourism, was there to represent Municipal President Blanca Merari Tziu Muñoz. He thanked the artists for choosing Puerto Morelos for their show.

 

Our town offers a perfect spot for young artists to share their dreams and experiences. We hope this event inspires more young people from Puerto Morelos to explore their own creative talents.

 

Meet the Artists

 

Domingo Álvarez, originally from Puebla, has called the Riviera Maya home for two years. He is displaying eight photographs that explore deep themes. His work reflects his identity, his past, present, life, and even thoughts on life and death.

 

Daniel Valle, who comes from Guadalajara, Jalisco, has also lived in the Riviera Maya for two years. His pieces are thoughtful reflections on different parts of life. He creates unique mobiles and lampshades, using materials like paper and cardboard.

 

Part of a Bigger Picture

 

This exciting exhibition is a highlight of the first-ever Design Week Riviera. This new initiative aims to bring art and culture to the Mexican Caribbean every September. It is a fantastic way to connect our region with the vibrant art scene.

 

Marisol Foyo Niembro, the director of our Cultural Center and Museum, shared her enthusiasm. She said the doors of the venue are always open to artists and artisans. She praised the artists' personal techniques and their imaginative use of materials.

This special exhibition is only open for a short time. You can visit the Puerto Morelos Cultural Center and Museum until this coming Saturday. The museum is open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
